Adults and Teens Class
Whether you are new to martial arts or you have had prior experience, we welcome you to come try out a class!
- Get a full body workout: functional strength, core stability, flexibility, balance, and mobility
- Reduce stress through focus, mindfulness, and movement
- Learn practical applications of traditional martial arts and gain self assurance in challenging situations
Class format
- Warm-up, stretching, conditioning
- Basics (Kihon / 基本): Individual and partnered punching, blocks, kicks, and combinations
- Forms (Kata / 形): Foundational forms as a class, small groups focusing on kata by rank, and individual forms
- Sparring and partner drills (Kumite / 組手), bag work, flow drills (Kakie / カキエ)
Kobudo
- Warm-up, stretching, conditioning
- Kihon, kata, and partner drills with bo, sai, tonfa, and nunchaku
- Other weapons covered depending on student experience
Kids Class
We teach fun, high energy classes for kids ages 4 and older. Through karate, kids develop focus and self discipline, and our group class format is a great way for kids to build confidence and make lasting friendships.
In addition to learning karate basics and kata, our Kids Class also introduces calisthenics, body awareness, mobility training, and age-appropriate self defense.
